Somatic Training

As a Somatic Based, Whole Systems Process Designer, I custom design and facilitate context specific trainings that address your specific group's needs including: building subconscious somatic trust, collaboration, risk-taking, innovation, productivity, and profitability.

If you are interested in a custom designed training to meet your organization's and or community group's needs, please contact me directly to receive a complimentary consultation to discuss your desired outcomes and how we can collaborate together to most effectively achieve your desired results.

I also offer predesigned trainings that deliver education and practical hands-on skills training for various populations including:

  • Individuals suffering from Trauma, Anxiety and Depression (Post Traumatic Stress Response);
  • Social Activists working towards sustainable progressive change;
  • Community and Organizational Leaders seeking to decrease dissociation, increase association, and accelerate their change efforts by gaining the Somatic Advantage.

Below are a few of the trainings I am currently offering. For more information, please contact me directly.

"Get a Grip"

Somatic Skills Training
for
Trauma, Anxiety and Depression

if you or someone you know is suffering from trauma, depression and or anxiety, Innate Intelligence Somatic Skills Training helps you get a grip, and gain access and control of your subconscious autonomic nervous system--where these distressing patterns are generated and stuck replaying themselves.

  • Identify and transform unconscious patterns that motivate and trigger you
  • Rewire your automatic responses to stress triggers
  • Resolve trauma without reliving it
  • Learn life-changing somatic practices to heal yourself and others

In this 4 week training, you will be on of four participants, and you will receive substantial one-on-one attention--including a full individual session. If you can't afford private sessions, this is the most cost effective way to learn, grow, and transform post traumatic stress into new empowered capabilities.

*I also offer an Introductory 3 hour "Get a Grip" Somatic Skills Training in which you will:

  • Learn how your nervous system works
  • Take an experiential tour of your nervous system
  • Identify your personal subconscious nervous system patterning
  • Learn the 5 R's:
  • How to Recognize what triggers your nervous system
  • How to Resource your nervous system once triggered
  • How to Reframe whats happening in your nervous system
  • How to Rewire your nervous system patterning
  • How to create Resilient Relations by "Getting a Grip" on your nervous system

This intro class is good for people (ages 10 and up), who have experienced trauma, emotional difficulties, depression, anxiety and or relational issues. And, if you are one of the lucky people on earth who havent suffered from any of these conditions, then this training will help you gain skills to help others in your life who have. This basic training is prerequisite for my more advanced classes in Somatic Trauma Resolution.

Leadership in the Era of Biological Viability

In this introductory workshop we will explore two central questions: What is really going on?...and How to get-a-grip?

The truth is, as many of you may know, 95-99% of all human communication is subconscious, biologically hardwired and pre-programmed in our autonomic nervous systems.

Using a somatic-based, interpersonal neurobiological approach, we will take an experiential tour of our nervous systems, build our tracking skills, and learn first-hand how to access and use our brainstems (the oldest part of our brain that has survived 5 mass extinctions—and that holds the key to surviving the pending 6th mass extinction—and thriving in the Era of Biological Viability).

4 Hour Intro Workshop in Sebastopol

Tuesday August 9th

*Limited to 10 participants

$20-80 sliding scale

Science of Innate Intelligence

The following interdisciplinary pioneers contribute greatly to the evolving science of Innate Intelligence and form a foundation for the applied somatic work I offer in my private practice and Somatic Skills Training series.

I have been following the works of these world-class pioneers over the last 15-20 years. I draw upon their teachings and apply their continual scientific breakthroughs in my Innate Intelligence public trainings and private somatic trauma therapy practice.

To make the most of your training experience or private therapy work with me, I encourage you to read their books and check out their websites where you can learn more about their ground breaking works, upcoming events and extraordinary learning resources they offer.

“Polla’s Innate Intelligence work allowed us to stay creative, productive and fresh in our 18 hour meetings.  Her biological and body based approach to meeting facilitation is highly innovative, engaging, productive and fun. We wish we could have Polla at all our meetings.”
~ President Fox’s, Economic Development Transition Team, Mexico City

“The Organic Intelligence work is highly innovative and helpful in accelerating creative solutions to pressing organizational issues. In a two hour group session I resolved a complex organizational issue that had been bothering me for weeks.”

~ Shirley Edwards, VP—XEROX Palo Alto Research Center ~

“Polla’s approach to Leadership training facilitation is extraordinarily fun, innovative and effective. She quickly became our most popular facilitator. She made valuable design and development contributions which improved the training and effectiveness of other facilitators as well as the overall global success of the program. I highly recommend working with Polla Pratt.”
~ Nancy Cook, VP—Boeing Center for Leadership and Learning ~

“Several years ago, three weeks after the infamous 9/11, I hosted an International Conference on Regional Economic Development in Tucson.  On the last day Polla Pratt’s emergent, participatory “Hot Topics” presentation on the “Processes Used for Regional Economic Development” turned out to be one of the hottest sessions in our three day conference.

In fact, I needed to change the schedule on the last day so that the international presenters that were scheduled to present opposite her would not have to speak to near empty rooms. She is a known and respected person in the field. The innovative Hot Topics process engaged valuable participant feedback from over the three days (that would have been otherwise lost) and maximized participant’s passion, participation and motivation to take action.

Participants left the Conference feeling that they got something and that it had been re-bundled into something they could take home and use.  The self-organized working groups that emerged were highly productive as they identified and addressed a host of topics including planning for the next year’s conference.”
